Pascal has more than 33 years of experience in the technology industry and legal field. During his tenure at Autodesk, he built corporate development, government affairs and legal teams that helped drive growth from under $800m to over $4B in annual revenue by diversifying the business through M&A in multiple industries, transitioning from a perpetual licensing to a subscription business model, and evolving from desktop products to cloud platform services. Pascal has been recognized for “outstanding work as a corporate general counsel” at the national level, having received the “Legend in Law Award” from the Burton Awards for Legal Achievement, co-sponsored by the American Bar Association, at the Library of Congress.
Prior to joining Autodesk, Pascal advised technology and emerging growth companies on business and intellectual property transactions and litigation while at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati. Pascal currently serves on the board of directors of BSA — the Software Alliance, after having served as chair for several years, and is chair of the governance committee of the Autodesk Foundation board of directors.
Over the years, Pascal has published and spoken on a variety of business, corporate governance, M&A and corporate venture investing, and intellectual property topics. He is a member of the California State Bar and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
